Step 1:

Log in to your Gmail account and navigate to Settings from gear icon. Then choose Forwarding and POP/IMAP and under this option enable IMAP. Watch the below settings for better understanding.

Open your Outlook application, under File menu click on Add Account button.

Step 3:

Window Popup will be appear then add your Gmail account credentials like Name, Email Address and password then press Next button.

If you are done from this way so that’s great but in case of unwanted errors you may try another one way by using POP/IMAP settings and configuration.

Second Method:

Step 1:

After click on Add Account button under File option. Choose Manual Setup and additional server types option then press Next button.

Step 2:

Choose POP or IMAP option then hit Next button.

Step 3:

Now add/insert all credentials/information which they are asking like Name, email, account type, incoming and outgoing mail server etc. Make sure your email and password should be correct, otherwise error will be occur during testing time period.

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP): Imap.gmail.com

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): Smtp.gmail.com

Step 4:

In this step, click on more setting then check ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication‘ under Outgoing Server option.

Step 5:

In this step,  we will setup ports and encrypted connection. Make sure that encrypted connection should be SSL selected. You also can configure server timeout from 1 minute default to 5 minute. Then hit OK.

IMAP Port: 993

SMTP Port: 465 OR 587
